Bel Esprit woke first from the joyous, unfragmented dreams of the innocent and carefree. What had awakened him, I do not know. Perhaps it was the sensation of moving. Not that he personally was moving about more than usual but as though his whole abode was sailing through space at a more rapid pace. He rather enjoyed the feeling. A relaxed expression caressed Bon Amie's sleeping countence.
There were many more discoveries in store for the little playmates, and since they were in such a dimly lighted environment it took a long time to learn to know all there was to know about everything about them. Some of the discoveries were pleasant and some they didn't mind so very much...until later!
