The Poking, Nudging Game ; }

One day Bon Amie had the pleasant experience of discovering that her thumb fitted nicely into her mouth and in those final, trying weeks she got a lot of comfort from sucking it. She woke up one day to find something pressing against her knee. It was coming from outside their flexible abode. A lovely voice that was warm and familiar spoke.
 "Hubby, feel this! I think it is an elbow! He or she is getting so active I sometimes think there must be two! Oh I can't wait to hold her!"

"Well, the ultrasound showed only one." Bon Amie loved the sound of that deep, rumbly voice.

"But ultrasounds can be wrong! Oh, look there is another movement. Feel it, honey, feel it!"
Bon Amie remembered this game from before, and eagerly pushed back. There was a repeated prod, which she gladly returned. The next time Bon Amie felt a nudge, she jabbed back with her elbow and heard a sound that she loved. We call it a ripple of laughter. The poking, nudging game continued until she fell asleep.
